Wooden cross "Salesian" (Salesian) 20,5 cm

The outward sign of the missionaries' consecration, dressed like diocesan priests, was to be the Saletine cross: "In order to distinguish themselves, they will wear only the special cross of Our Lady of La Salette, which will constantly remind them of the purpose and intrinsic spirituality of their vocation" (Règles provisoires, 4). Cross with pincers and a hammer (symbols of Christ's passion and death), modeled on the one Mary was wearing at the apparition.
